Rear Seat Delete Kit

Hey, everyone.

I just wanted to guage the interest in a rear seat delete kit for the Cobalt Coupe before I make a bunch. A seat delete kit will not only look good but reduce the weight of the car. Cost would be approximately $120 for a kit covered in vinyl.
Please respond to this post and let me know

Thanks
Jeff

Why not cover it in carpet insteaad though it will blend in nicer.

I've taken my back seats out before, it was only about 20 pounds tops, not much of a difference IMO

For the coupe, well my car, the top rear seat weighed 20lbs and the bottom part was 10 lbs. That's 30 lbs. You take that 30 lbs and add it with the ~30 lbs of the spare and tire jack, and you've got yourself ~60 lbs. 40 lbs off from .1 in the 1/4 mile hehe

I don't know...I just think $120 is too expensive unless it was some really really nice custom stuff. You need to do it on your cobalt so we can all see what you can do.

I would be interested too, but would also want one that left the cabin open to the trunk. Mabey in black vinyl with the SS\SC Logo in silver in the middle. Or mabey you would sell me the delete kit uncovered so I could have my buddy custom it for me? Really want to see pics of one in a cobalt first though please.

My question would be "how much sound dampening would this kit have?"
I have had the back seat down while driving and our back seats block a lot of exhaust noise. I would be fine with deleting the back seats because the roll cage makes it impossible to get into the back anyways. However I don't want to have all the noise everytime I am driving.

To me it just looks like some plywood wrapped in whatever fabric you want. Doesnt really look like $120 worth to me and the wood would prolly weigh just as much as the stock seat if not more.
