So I said goodbye...

...to my Arrival Blue 05 Cobalt coupe. I'm really gonna miss it but it was getting to be impractical with my fiancee's 1 year old that I'm babysitting almost every night while she works.

But to replace it, I now have an Ultra Silver 08 Cobalt LT sedan. With the incentives that were running this past weekend, it was just too hard to pass up the chance to trade the 05 for 2 more doors and power options (that the 05 didn't have).

Not to mention the warranty starts all over again. At least I kept my wheels!

I was gonna say, didn't you just get wheels for it?

'Grats on the new balt. 4 doors aren't really my thing but then again I am only 18 and have only myself and maybe a couple of friends on occasion to drive around. In your case the 4 door makes more sense.

Now if I were you I would have waited and got the 4 door turbo. Is the new car automatic?

Yeah, the color wasn't my first choice. Another dealer nearby had a Sport Red Tintcoat sedan listed but it was long gone by the time I got there.

This was the only sedan that was optioned the way I wanted. The only other sedan on the lot was a Slate Grey one that had NOTHING on it but the 16" chrome wheels and it was priced higher.... So I took the LT with power/cruise/XM and the color will grow on me.

Now if I were you I would have waited and got the 4 door turbo. Is the new car automatic?
There's no way I could afford the 4 door turbo payments...let alone the insurance.

Yeah, this one is auto.

I caved on the transmission because if I got the auto, my fiancee said she'd help on the payments. Besides, I have a 5 speed 3400 Z that I can thrash around when I feel like rowing the gears.

Besides, no dealers anywhere around me had a 5 speed sedan on the lot. That's not a common stock car really, it's usually a special order and I would've missed out on the $2k cash back that I needed to kill the negative equity in the 05.
