Steering column recall on 2006 cobalt?
 

With all these recalls going on, I can't even search for them without being overwhelmed by results. Anyway....

A couple years ago, my power steering would go out driving down the road in my 06 Cobalt. I thought it was just the motor since there was a recall, but I ended up having to pay like $900 to have the whole steering column replaced.

Flash forward to today.....

My cobalt was totaled by a deer, and I no longer have it. :( Someone told me that the 06 Ion has a recall for their whole steering column to be replaced. I couldn't find anything about the cobalt steering column. Aren't they the same?

I still have my receipt. If there is a recall, I want to march down there and get my money back. So, what is going on?
