And why would you fuglify the car like that and keep it in the garage? Car like that was meant to be shown off!

My point was cars are meant to be driven and that they are a waste just to sit around in a garage, especially a Cobalt. Driving is about all they are good for. Cobalt's are not show-car worthy no matter how many parts are powder coated. That doesn't mean you can't love on for what it is. Just my personal opinion but I like Cobalts for their performance, trying to improve the cosmetics of a Cobalt is an exercise in futility.

I personally think any car can be a show car, even a cobalt. If its something you have put in real money, sweat, blood, and time into you have the right to put it into a show. My dads 95 1500 ram was never intended to be a show truck but he has taken such good care of it that it looks new even with 128k. People still admire it when we go to shows although it never really wins anything. People still stop and ask about it. I do agree cars should be driven and that one with less than 400 miles is just sad

A show car is a car that has character and is intriguing to look at. I don't consider the cleanest car off the dealers lot to be a show car and I think it is lame when people bring their brand new car that they haven't done anything to to a car show as if its worthy of admiration. Boring. Just my opinion.

The only problem I have is I don't think a brand new car is show worthy unless its had something different done to make it yours. I see brand new stock corvettes, camaros, mustangs, ect at car shows and its irritates me. Now if its at least 8-10 years old, still looks new, and stock then imo its worthy of a show space bc it took care to keep it that way. Your looking at preservation which is a whole task in itself.

to me this is why car shows have different catagories. you have a stock field and a modded field also can go by a certain years as well. new cars if they want to come to a show, by all means, but put them in a separate class. we all have one thing in common, we love cars, so idc if someone has a stock car vs a modded car. we are all at the show for a reason.

I can agree new cars can get their own area, it just pisses me off they spend 80-150k on a new car and get to slap it right in between classics, customs, or preservations just bc they have money. Like I went to the bunny run here in town a while back, the show age limit was 89 and below and they would not sell show tickets for anything younger. I get up there and about a 1/3 were corvettes from like 92up... Some were cool but it was really irritating they got a spot just bc they had corvette regardless of show rules.

Hey now, don't diss our ancestors. Ive seen quite a few badass custom blown and turbo cavi's at car shows before. Even saw a late 50's truck body that had been set down on a cavi unibody. Strange to see but it was cool.
