There are car shows for brand new production and prototypes here in Denver. I go every year mainly for the prototypes. There brand new and in a car show.

I don't think that Cobalt listed was ever intended to be a show car. I think someone just has the money to put away certain brand new cars to see if they turn into a collector car. That Dealer probably has a large collection and this one he is going to lose money on.

I feel the way Kolt does though I have thought about it some and I guess there are some new-ish stock cars I wouldn't mind seeing in their stock form at a carshow just because they are rare and don't have other chances to get up close to one. I just feel like a Cobalt is one of those cars that only a fellow Cobalt owner can admire just for being clean. Same with a Cavalier, Dodge Neon, or pretty much any other standard production car made since 2000. Now I suppose after enough years have passed if you saw and Ultra-clean low mile one somewhere it would be enough to make me say "neat".

I will say I am biased to liking cars that are built to be used. I can appreciate an old car kept pristine or restored to perfection but I prefer a restomod which many car enthusiasts would disagree with.

If you are a molar fan- they actually had so much trouble selling the Daytona chargers and Plymouth super birds after nascar banned them that they made a deal with hertz rental car to take them as rentals. Those cars are now over 1 million dollars if they had a hemi in them. Not that a cobalt will ever be worth that much.

I think it would be cool for Cobalts to be a future classic I just don't see that happening to a FWD in America.
