Valvetrain, bent valves?
 

So basically i bent an ground electrode on a spark plug to contact the tip. replaced the plug now my cars still runng crappy. Did a compression test and im getting hardly any compression in cylender 2, now i did a wet compression test too and hardly any change, so im thinking i bent a valve? no oil loss or coolant loss so dont think its the head gasket.

so if i bent a valve im going to rebulid my top end, i want to do valves springs, valves and cams. what all do i need to do this?, is their performance vavle seals i can get?
was looking at ferrea valves and zzp valve springs and retainers. and the cam shafts from TTR

i have a 2.2L supercharged chevy cobalt.

is their anytihng else that would cause harldey any compression in that cylender. it happernd at close to 7 thousand RPM on stock internals in 3rd gear. when i bent the plug and had to get it towed. where would debris have come from to damage the plug and valve? also if i hvae the cam time holding tool can i replace valves withut removing head?

also whats best cams for this set up?

well i'd guess if you bent a plug electrode, you have some serious issues. Potentially a hole in a piston.

2nd bit of advise, post this stuff over in the 2.2l L61 section there are a lot of more guys over there with the L61 with simular mods/situations.

But i would take the head off and see what damage has been done before thinking about what valve train to replace/pick. Also being a 2.2 you want to replace your rods if you want to push the 250-275whp line

You might want to ask ecotec forum about this... those guys are pretty heavy L61 enthusiasts.

Yes.

As mentioned though.. you'll want to do a teardown to see what kind of damage you're looking at. If you have a scarred sleeve you may be looking at more work than its worth to fix it.

ya im pulling it apart now, dont think it can be that bad of damage its not heavily misfireing, its driveable bit louder, little compression in one cylender and the wet test for compression dident change anything hence why im thinking its a bent valve.

hopefully not a sleeve damaged, im planning on doing all work myself as im quite capable and shop quoted me like 3000 in labour.

since im having it apart i was going to do pistions and rods too. all from TTR.
