Vin # check - 09 SS Sedan
Hey all. I have my eye on an 09 SS sedan (currently have an 08 SS coupe). I know the 09s are more prone to that porous block issue. This car has low miles with only about 35k. Owner gave me a build date of 11/08 and the vin. Is there any way I can check that vin out to see if it has had the engine replaced due to the block issue? Or if there has been any other warranty/recall work done on it? Thanks,

Call the dealer with the vin, they can tell you anything you need to know. If you explain the situation to the service advisor and be polite they should help you. I would call the one that the owner primarily takes it too
