I've hit a deer before in mine, was at about 5 MPH and the stupid thing never even fell just kept running, cracked my front bumper where the center section where the Chevy logo goes across. $400 to fix that damn thing and I didn't know enough to switch to a SS front bumper like I later did.

thanks!
I still like the cobalt and all, but given its the only platform I've owned since I was 16 I think its time for a change up. I did what I wanted to do with it, had a blast with it, but now have gotten to the point where I've lost interest as there isnt much worth doing to it anymore. I've only put 9,000 miles on it this whole year. I dont want to go big turbo as stock turbo power is more than enough for FWD to me, any more and your just pissing money into the wind as your tires blow away, but i know i'm in the minority in thinking that here

Finished painting brakes, reassembled the brakes, and finished painting the valve cover. Took off intake, motor mount and belt tensioner to get at timing cover to remove broken timing guide but got stuck at the crank pulley and called it a day. But then I looked real hard down the timing hole in the head and saw the piece that I'm trying to dig out. Now just gotta find a way to pull it out through the top...

Drove to Port Perry Canada, where Powell's shop is. Swapped FE1 control arms with shot CABs to FE5 control arms with both sets of Powell's cabs. Please note, don't over torque any bolts they break...
Also had a rear LNF transmission mount installed and a front F23 rotated mount.
I can notice a bit more vibrations, especially at first but after the 160 mile trip home their already not as bad.
Picked up a composite black valve cover, never seen anything like it before.
It's amazing how much John knows about this platform not to mention the many parts he supplies that you don't normally see. Definitely going to be seeing his shop again over the next spring/summer, hopefully with the first Quaife F23 LSD cobalt.
