just got a ZZP exhaust / dp put in today.

garage that did it described how hacked and custom-welded my stock exhaust was, and that the gaskets were shot.

oh and I reinstalled the whale tail

Shot a video of the exhaust. Love that sound. Don't mind the dirty car, she needs a bath.

Well got everything all buttoned up last night. Started it up and sounded great! Then as the idle came down she started loping and stalled. Wideband pegged. Bigass vacuum leak. Checked and all my lines are hooked up. Took the tvs back off. I think the mounting part of the tvs is hitting the top on my dual pass plate. It sticks up a little above the mounting place on the intake and the tvs is wider on the driver side than the m62. I can see where its shiny on the plate from the blower hitting it. Guess im gonna have to grind it down a little to make it flush.

Be careful with that grinding you plan to do.

Never heard of the TVS hitting the top of the endplate.

I think he means where the endplate actually mates to the manifold. Sounds like the top edge of the endplate is slightly too tall and "hangs over" the manifold. I'm going to guess it's a zzp endplate, or not the factory one?

nailed it. ZZP dual pass plate. if you put a straight edge across where the supercharger mates to the intake, that plate is sticking up. The m62's edge is right along the bolt holes, but the tvs has the extra bit to the right of the outlet where its like 3 rectangles. I have witness marks on the top of my end plate.

I knew the area you were talking about. That's why I said be careful if u grind it.

ZZP endplates are junk (if that's what u have). End up leaking.

I did a leak test on my LSJ manifold today. No leaks at all. Yay! I'm also running the zzp dual pass plate and I see where it sticks up.

Installed a K&N SRI to replace my modded air box/ZZP intake tube and properly feed the little R

Gas mileage is definitely going to plummet

Well that end plate was messing with it up, actually sits flush now. But now it will idle for 30 seconds or so but then starts surging like crazy. Fuel trims go way positive. My tuner is coming by tomorrow to see what he can figure out. It will even sit there and surge at 2600 rpm. I reset fuel trims with my tech 2 to see if it made a difference and now its just starts and stalls instantly. What a wild adventure this is turning into. Ah well. We'll get it.
