Just getting ready to finish up installing new lightweight flywheel, fender-well liner,clutch, axles, Koni front adjustable strut inserts, more aggressive hawk brake pads, and a Quaife LSD in my F23 trans. Now I just need to order some tires and I will be ready for the 2018 autocross season.
Got my warrantied Z54 back from ZZP, and ordered everything to redo the timing set. Just need to buy a bunch of gaskets, then find time to do it all. I still need to pull everything after the turbo to clean it from when it blew.
Not exactly a "build", so we'll call it Spring maintenance.
Hopefully find time to get the undercar rails from omiotek and get them installed along with the 6758 that's been setting in the garage for a year. At least it's still driveable.
I'm honestly thinking about not installing the turbo at this point and waiting a couple years to by an awd ats, and installing it on that instead. Might save the motor if I do.

I'm doing the 15" wheel conversion on the front so I can run some M&H slicks. I know 17's fit and I can keep the Brembo's but theres quite a few benefits on the 15's, so thats what I'm doing. All in all losing about 34lbs of weight on front wheel/tire setup, plus I'm sure the brake/rotors might lose a bit.. Also throwing in a new clutch and using an ACT steel flywheel. People either love or hate the lightweight flywheels, but my thoughts are its going to be a lot easier on the car banging gears, less shock to the trans, so it's an acceptable compromise. Also doing some new F5 struts ( I threw some piece of crap Monroe's on when I was trying to track a front end noise ). I'm thinking of using some YYZ springs. I asked Powell how they would work in a drag setup, he thinks the rebound rate may be a benefit.
Have you raced with them? I have huge front end rise. I've experimented with various poundage in my rear air bags, I ended up using next to no pressure, it was the lesser of 2 evils to have squat VS nose so high in the air. I'm thinking it could have been my struts/springs. I may also try front end limiting straps like cmiller used to use
I honestly can't give you much feedback as far as drag racing as I am sure your setup and tires are much different than mine. I have drag raced once but that is even close to enough experience to offer advice. I primarily use mine for autocross and think they are awesome for that.

New longblock going in. Dropping the bottom end stuff off at the machine shop for balance/fit/assembly on saturday
It might not need any balancing at all. When I dropped mine off, I was having them mic all the bearing surfaces for blueprinting and having it balanced. When I went to pick it up they said they didn't balance it, it didn't need it. I was immediately skeptical and major bummed, was going to take it elsewhere. Then I did some reading. On a 4cyl, each throw has a piston/rod 180 degrees out that counteracts the opposite side. And the crank is zero balanced from the factory. That being the case, aftermarket pistons usually come matched within a few grams of each other right out of the box. Rods are the same way. So you might be perfect without even touching it.
