Have a 2008 LT auto. Once the car is started it locks/unlocks by itself erratically like it is possessed. Not all the time,, but more and more. While it is acting all crazy, the release button on the auto shifter cannot be pressed, so it won't go into gear. However, if you keep trying to press it in, it will finally release in between the spasms. Then the spasms stop completely once you put in Drive, Reverse, etc.

I know I had water in the drivers side door in the past, as the speaker in the door would sound like crap when it rained... until it finally died.

Any ideas?
