Sweet! The rubber plugs was to make my ram air hood functional I had it blocked off from yesterday with all the rain so I was down on power the 1st couple of races and getting bad heat soak.

i'm thinking seriously bout the Stage 5, so i can just do a complete swap, i've got two questions, are the injectors 60# or larger? and the PCM Calibration, how does that work? do you send a whole new PCM or what?
thanks
Matt

In Level V, the injectors are 60#, yes.
You send us the PCM, we calibrate it and send it back. Entire process takes a few days; it can be occurring while you are installing the system.

If you want to have the tune 'unlocked' for your own tuning and tweaking, we can do that too.

Atmospheric type (open discharge). Click for details.

the lag isnt much, it is just barly noticable. but i just put a lightweight flywheel on my car and that helped ALOT. and if you pull 7 grand shifts the turbo will stay spooled up through all the gears.

Quick ?

Wouldn't it be easier to tune if you used a closed loop bypass valve, instead of the open discharge?

I see that you make a re-circ, which is why I'm curious at your choice for the kits...

The way we've engineered the system, we were able to use an open discharge. They run great this way. It makes for a simpler setup with a rowdier presence! WOOOOSH!

Not that much actually. A little re-arranging of some engine compartment stuff. By the time you have the car taken all the way apart in order to install the system, the moving of the other stuff becomes apparent and easy. You can see the system here:

So, lets say I take my stage 2 Ion Redline down there. Straight stage 2 with a K&N CAI, no exhaust mods except a muffler, etc. And I want to put your stage V kit on my car, what will I need in addition to your stage V kit to attain 360-380WHP? It's a DD, stock block, stock fuel system, stock head, etc, that would need to have a safe/semi-conservative tune and always runs 93. Will I need a new downpipe, exhaust? What extra expenses would I occur because my car is a Redline as opposed to an SS/SC. The obvious things that I know I would need are wideband, upgraded clutch (eventually, my stocker doesn't slip at all at 41k). And all of this is assuming that you would be doing all of the work. I see your kit is $4300 and I'm guessing that is just parts not including labor. Is that correct? There may be more things I'm leaving out, but I do second the question about the military discount.

We've considered a policy for this, but have instead taken to individually considering such requests. If you want to spend a good chunk on a major purchase such as this, just email us and start the dialogue!

We don't have a system iteration for Ion at this time. Perhaps we will in the future once some enterprising individual brings us one for an installation. You may be that one! If you think you are, we'd be able to discuss this in detail AFTER busy season, say October or so.

Some general answers for now:

Yes, our product prices are always for equipment only (we are a manufacturer; installations are actually a very small portion of our volume).

As the system does include its own downpipe, you'd be good to go there. An exhaust upgrade is a necessity; we can provide this as well. A wideband is always a good idea, and upgrading the clutch can be delayed until it shows signs of slippage (stock clutches have been holdiing up if in good shape). We only install our own equipment, so these other items would need to be taken care of previous to a visit to us.

I'll make sure to PM you when I'm ready. Maybe then we can work something out on all accounts and start talking about making this happen.

just hit me up for the install and tune man if need be, I'll be closer upstate soon,

and Bill, beat my own record the other day, less boost, straight 93 octane (nope no 100 added this time) no meth, and on a mustang dyno (recently recalibrated) made 414/378 still on the stock 38,000+ mile motor. I love this car lol.

Pricing should be available directly from the Hahn web site price list.

If you removed your supercharger and just installed the manifold, you would lose power. You are removing your forced induction system (the supercharger) and making your car normally aspirated.
