hide away buttons for under steering wheel compartment

Things you will need:
*some sheet metal (I used the side of a old computer)
*Tin snips or grinder
*measuring tape
*marker
*drill and bits

First get your metal

and your going to want to cut this out (you can take half a inch off the top)

then bend it 90 degrees

next place your sheet metal above the under steering wheel compartment on the inside and make your marks for your 2 mounting holes, and the area that your buttons can take up.

the style on buttons i used for this are 3/4 round LED switches, i'm sure if your using something different it will be much the same to install. Mark your holes evenly apart make a pilot hole and then drill as large as needed.

pretty sweet man. I made one that fit in the compartment but found issues with the buttons clearing the trim piece. Back to the drawing board.
