Honestly, it might be slightly larger, but there is nothing that's anywhere close to the snout on my M62 (and I have an Automatic as well). I need a picture to see what exactly you're talking about... I have a meeting in 10 minutes so I'll be away from my desk for 30 mins or so, FYI.

Also... My oh my... You're still a 2.4 (the displacement of your engine isn't changing at all...) and yes, the LSJ throttle body is larger than the LE5 TB to allow for more air to flow.

thats what i told him my inches are still the same but he thinks different because i got a bunch of 2.0 LSJ parts. The shop is moving the brake lines down about 3" inches so we shall see where this part of the story takes me

I need to wire the 2.5 tmap

hope you could help me

thanks

HunterKiller89 04-20-2010 02:08 AM

If you're looking to do the IAT2 conversion I had it in my thread in the LAP section.

sub'd for future plans..

Team_Overdose 04-29-2010 12:37 PM

by any chance does any one have a how to.. for tunning the maf sensor ..

HunterKiller89 04-29-2010 02:46 PM

for tuning it? you'd probably want to check the tuning section.
You dont mean installing it do you?

Team_Overdose 04-29-2010 05:08 PM

no i just need help tunning it...

HunterKiller89 04-29-2010 08:12 PM

you're gonna want to find a tuner then. Almost none of the people who did this are tuners..

pjk91 05-06-2010 09:12 PM

install wideband
connect to HPT
create custom PID for WB
force car into open loop use PCM controls
Log WB AFR Error
Past % in high/low respectively

done. no problem.

On your diagram for the 2.5bar MAP, we use the stock map wires plus wire from the MAF? and we cut/remove them from the MAF sensor, or are we tapiping into it? (The black and a tan wires)

HunterKiller89 07-19-2010 06:37 AM

cut them in

EcoTecDriver 07-19-2010 12:20 PM

as in remove the wire from the MAF and run to the Bar harness?

thanks!

hoffa 07-19-2010 02:14 PM

cut them from the maf and run them to the map.

Berto09ss 07-19-2010 03:06 PM

EcoTecDriver 07-19-2010 03:21 PM

One last question about the maf, I have 2 tan looking wires one slightly darker, which one do I use? Im remember reading this same question somewhere but for the life of me I can not find it

one should be tan, the other brown. if you have two tan wires, then they will have stripes. I cant recall specifics on the colors though...best to check the OP's diagram

Pedobear 07-19-2010 07:09 PM

this sounds like a pita

EcoTecDriver 07-19-2010 11:30 PM

nah its alot easier then it sounds, + I can run the 2.5bar instead of stock and read Ia2's

One thing I have been thinking about is We are removing the ground from the MAF, so dont we need to replace the it, with a new ground in order for the MAF to work?

Pedobear 07-20-2010 03:29 PM

That makes since no other electrical piece works without being grounded

hoffa 07-20-2010 03:38 PM

are you talking about what is needed to run to the map sensor for this install?

cuz you don't cut the ground, you cut the low reference and ia2 signal wires.

Pedobear 07-20-2010 03:40 PM

Oh well that takes care of that question
