How To De-Badge the Right Way

This is not me, and it is not my video. This was made by a fellow member on the Ram Forums and it works amazingly, leaves almost no residue whatsoever.

I figured this would be helpful to the few Cobalt owners on here who have not yet debadged.

The trick is to roll up a piece of the tape and once you can grab it, pull it away and slightly up. It takes a little practice to get used to and some patience, do not rush it. The reward is well worth it with little to no adhesive leftover.

Fishing line is common sense, If you don't wanna waste time peeling the tape go to a paint store and they sell a eraser wheel that mounts on a drill and just buzz it iff in seconds and no paint damage we use it when painting doors or taking ugly fake vents off at the car lots all the time. Think the wheel id $10 ir $15 but you can do many cars and badges before it wears out and it also works on old tape pinstripes but some buffing is required after with those.

x100 with the eraser wheel. it's what i used on mine. works perfect. especially good if you wanna see how wingless looks, it removes all that glue/tape **** in like 10 seconds.

Surprisingly easy, I thought it would require more tools to do.

Both of my thumbs were cherry red after rubbing off the adhesive from the bowtie emblem. But worth it

I used a hair dryer to warm up the glue then just pulled the badges off. Then I used a little bit of ether and a rag to wipe off the remaining glue.

Its super easy. Easier on a warm day. I used a putty knife and eraser wheel and polisher and did it during my lunch break at work the second month after I bought my car.

Yeah it would leave two holes on your bumper... You're better off just leaving it
