Cam Cap Removal
Hi,
Replacing valve lifters on my 2006 cobalt ss (2.0L supercharged ). I've gotten to the point where I'm removing the cam caps - got them all finger tight, and all but two of the 12 cam caps are off. I can't for the life of me get the cam caps 6 and 12 (closest to the driver side, the non-number ones). They just won't come off. The bolts are out but the caps wont lift off. I've taken both bolts off the plate where the power steering pump would be on the 2.2L. I looks like there might be RTV of some sort holding it there, it's hard to tell. I tried to get a screw driver under there to pry it off but I can't even get it in there. Has anyone else run into the same issue or have any thoughts on how to get it off? Or maybe I'm doing something wrong? I would LOVE some help.
Thank guys.
