how to install a traction control button/false ebrake for autos
this will cost you about 10 bucks you need a rocker switch and some wire which you can get at your local auto parts store
1. remove your center console panels and find the blue wire going to your ebrake and tap into it https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.n...87548292_n.jpg 2. add a ground wire https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.n...73978004_n.jpg 3. drill a hole in the panel your would like the switch, install switch into panel and plug the wires into the appropriate spots on your switch https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.n...98326098_n.jpg 4. test the switch the car must be running to due this, because you sliced into the ebrake wire your brake light will turn on [false ebrake]. also all your doing is connecting a ground so if you have a led switch the led wont light up https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.n...52536783_n.jpg 5 reinstall and you now don't have to click your ebrake or shift into L to turn off your traction control https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.n...48558682_n.jpg |
seems pretty legit
so this tricks the computer to thinking the ebrake is pulled up (because light lighting up on the dash) making traction control able to be turned off dont have traction control so i dont benifit from this good how to |

Nah this is cooler

Meh, I avoid drilling holes for fun. Not a bad idea by any means, but it doesn't eliminate that Annoying dinging noise cause it still thinks your ebrake is up...

I hope he does a better job cleaning at wal-mart than the rug in his car...
|
I have an 09 g5 and one click up or putting it in L does nothing to remove traction control

*bump* I know this thread is almost a year old, I'm just wondering if anyone else has done it and if it has worked at all? I'm very curious into trying this.

old post but did you guys use a two prong switch or three with a power of some kind..... sounds like two prong, one tapped into the blue wire, one grounded. when grounded, the system is tripped I assume into disengaging traction control,
