I got it now. The oval leds for the group of three leds on the top are $4 each which is wayyy too expensive. To replace those it costs $24???

I have replaced one of the Halo's once and burnt out again, I havn't had time to take it off again but the first time was one of the legs broke off, so this time not sure but it has only been a week, any suggestions? And when I was replacing I guess I got the led to hot and it popped, so could that have been a factor in the first fix?

Yes, and I just fixed them a little bit ago and I guess when I fixed them the first time I got the LED's to hot and maybe cracked it and then only lasted for so long....it's good now...

How long do the halo LEDs roughly last? Im thinking about getting some projectors but if the led rings burn out all the time then I dont want to have to replace them often.

Just out of curiousity, why would red be any worse than blue?

Good point...but red stands out a little more than red on the front of your car. And here in Florida I have asked cops (friends) would I get pulled, and they said not realy cause when the lights are on they look more white than blue.
