2.0 LSJ Engine: How to tune 60lb injectors - 56k = ZZzzzzz...
Open loop. You can set the histo on a MAF table if it makes it easier for you too. I like it on the VE table because it shows more the trends. Remember you should still be in MAF mode when doing this. Your just using the VE table histo to get PW data, not to make changes to your VE table.
Thanks Jimbo. Can't wait to see how this is working for people. I've had great success from people who I've worked with over email and what not (and of course people I've tuned), but I am hoping that this how-to will be enough info for people to be able to tune these injectors themselves.
I have never dynoed the car before. Anything over 240 and I'll be happy. I'm more interested in the track times and 2-3 highway pulls. My Camaro dynoed around 370HP but ran 11's. I'm willing to give up some power to get good MPG and reliability.
Personally, I think you'll kill 240. Let me know how it goes, okay?
I had issues last night at the dyno. On all 12 pulls, my car dumps fuel in @ 5800 then climbs back to mid 11s. There is a post about it on HP Tuner's website. Graph to follow.

I saw the work around. Unfortunately the version of HP tuners was 2.2.00, not 2.2.20. I am going back next week to get the tune cleaned up. I did make about 10-15 HP and 10 ft/lbs less than I was expecting. Image is uploading now.
im still working with the beta release of hpt. downloaded the new one, but it never changed? dunno.
i have never seen a 2.85 car freak like that and dump fuel. thats the only suggest i can give ya without physically being with the car on the dyno to watch it

You noticed that the tune I sent you with the 60s you bought from me were different from the numbers on the how to. Basically the IFR, modifier and adder tables. The injectors that I sold you were flowed at a different static rate than the ones I am running now (which the how to is based on). I believe that the difference was actually around 1-2 lbs/hr. Also, the adders were a little different with the 2 sets of injectors. Just goes to prove that everyone's injectors are going to be a bit different, have different flowrates and adder charactieristics.
Yea, you'll hit 250... IF you can get your car to stop hating you.
