thats not really true. its harder to get 60's to idle correctly, but its very much possible (even 72's are possible, but extremely finnicky). it doesnt matter if your car has 400whp or 140whp, it is just as hard to tune for 60's regardles.

However, i will actually reccomend if you plan on making more power in the future, that you get some 60lbers now.

Alright thanks all! But since im running the 2.2 now and vince is the only tune available right now..do you think he can tune for the 60's or no? I think i should just go with the 42/5's for now because wouldnt i need alot more mods to even touch 250?

yea, he can tune for the 60's easily. really, if you think you might be running more horses in the future, get 60's, but if your positive you wont be going over around 280bhp (230-240whp), then you can stick with 42's

it'll be reliable.. just because of the pencil style injectors you'll have a slight sweep at idle it's not really a big deal

So I've got everything i need to supercharge mine just wonderin about the AC.. i know the SC belt has one more rib, I've got an lsj alternator, and a lightweight crank pulley with enough groves, and the idler pullye and tensioner off of an SS, but then there is the AC compressor pulley. what did you do about this?

I am also asking about this, I hate to loose the strength of the belt by cutting on it. I'm not sure if you have to replace the whole condensor or just the pulley.

someone find out the length of the belt and I'll find you the belt you SHOULD use for the swap.. or you can look at a different routing of the belt which requires a smooth alternator pulley as well like i'm using

if you can just swap the pulley, that would be the easiest way to go...but in all honesty, Im using the stock belt on a 3" pulley (most LSJ guys use the STGII belt at that size pulley) with 1 rib cut off and i dont get any belt slip.
as far as price. all the hard parts were $1300 used. figure $300 for a tune/piggyback and a couple hundred for a wideband. Everything else is optional. You can run this setup on stock exhaust even...it just wont perform nearly as well...so i reccomend an upgrade

So did anyone ever find an adapter or harness that will work with the injectors without splicing in new ones?

the LSJ injector harness, which is what you linked to, has 5 plugs. 4 for each of the injectors and a 5th to connect to the main wiring harness. The L61 however has 6 plugs. 4 for each injector, 1 for the MAP sensor, and 1 for the main wiring harness. There aren't any wiring harnesses out there that have all 6 connectors attached, and additionally, the connector that connects to the main wiring harness is different from the LSJ to the L61 (the LSJ is a single row 5 pin connector whereas the L61 is a double row 8 pin connector)

I can grab pictures of both harnesses if that will help. But regardless, since no one makes a aftermarket wiring harness for the L61, you will have to make your own like I have done.
