hey everyone i went to napa today and picked up a NAPA Gold 7082 oil filter. Is that a good filter to run my mobil 1 5w30 for 5000 miles or so. I see they had the pureone filter too but is that better or what.

So when i was at the dealer and said i run mobil 1 and i asked what percentage to change it at and he said you can run mobil 1 down to 0% but regular oil you cant for sure. I said well should i just change it at 5k miles and he said you can go more, just check the oil after that. I know i have gone 4500 miles and my oil is clean and still full and it shows 30% oil left so im going to wait a few more weeks before i change mine.

Nice write up...I would go with Rhino Ramps instead of jack stands...easier and safer.
Also Mobil 1 is good for at least 15,000 miles however the weak link in the oil change game is always the filter.

i did mine over the weekend on sunday with jack stands and it only took me about a half hour and it was so damm easy. I did mine even after drinking 5 16oz budlights with my neighbor. Easiest oil change ever and i will also do mine now to save the cash for the mobil 1.

If you have long arms, you don't even need to raise the car; just lie alongside it and reach under to get the drain plug. You do need a pretty shallow drain pan however to get under the engine.
