Regaining High Beams with HIDWerks.com Retrofit Headlights.

I ordered a nice pair of Black Retrofit headlights w/ 5000K HIDs from HIDWerks.com and everything is wonderful, except I did not have functional high beams

As of of now, they use the TRS harness which comes as 9004, our cars use 9007.

This is what the TRS harness looked like before:

This is how it should look:

The headlight/TRS harness plug goes as follows:
Orange/Brown = High beams
Black/White = Constant
Red/Blue = Low beams

I see a lot of people talking about cutting, splicing and soldier the headlight wires to reflect what the harness wants. Instead switch out the harness wires by simply pulling them out by doing such:

1. Make sure you disconnect the battery cable for personal and electronic safety reasons

2. Take a pair of need nose pliers and while pushing the wire up from the back of the plug, bend the metal portion down to close the catch clip on the bottom, then wiggle with little force and Wa la!

3. Once out, bend the catch clip down to a 45 degree angle. This will ensure the "click" and lock when you put the wires back in the appropriate slots

5. Once the wires up are in their new slots, give a couple good tugs to make sure they are secure. If not, with the pliers, bend the metal portion upwards while pull the wire back to lock better into place

6. Ensure the metal connectors are centered in the plug for easily installation into the female plug

6. Plug the battery cable back up, turn on car to prevent battery from dieing, and enjoy the beautiful wonder of Bi-Xenon technology.

Hope this helps everyone

P.S. I will post pictures of the blow low beams and high beams tonight when I get the chance!

Nice write up with pics, common issue since the 9004 and 9007 share the same plug but different wiring and 9004 is more common than 9007 (at least to my understanding it is)

Just cut the wires and use butt-connectors switch the wires, no idea why you have silicone there though.

I was going to do that but I just didn't really want to eliminate the plug in case of future issues, I guess I don't have any choice tho

You should have enough space to do it and keep the plug, but make the splice be on the harness side and use all weather connectors and/or use shrink wrap to protect it
