Remove front license plate bracket

So my front license plate was bugging me relentlessly because it was a little bit crooked. Finally I decided to remove the bracket and fill the holes just so I could see the front of my car without the bracket looking rediculous. Here is how I did it. First I set out my tools. Phillips screwdriver, drill and bits and the plugs I got from autozone for two dollars.

Get the plate off by taking out the screws and decide what your starting bit will be. I went with a 1/8 because thats the smallest one I have. I worked my way up to a 5/16 bit until the rivet fell out.

Just drill right through the middle.

When I got mine off finally, it looked really crappy under so I wiped it off with a sponge and some soapy water.

Now your going to fill the holes with the little fasteners. This is what mine looked like. Luckily they matched pretty well and I didnt need to paint them.

They just slide in there pretty tight. (Make sure your largest drill bit is still a bit smaller than the diameter of these plugs. That way they fit real tight)

Still need to polish/wax the area where the bracket scratched the paint a little. Got my license plate in my front window until I figure out what to do with it so I dont get in trouble with the authorities. (Maybe hide-a-plate?) Either way, this is the finished product, took me like 15 minutes.
