Show me in a pic. You said the fitting for a hose or something. Only fitting on the intake side that I do recall is below the intake and that's the bpv. If you're talking about the solenoid that is on the back side of the zfr and there's a fitting that looks like it needs connected, its just a breather.

Ya the breather would be what I'm talking about. I don't really like it sitting open like that, I'm gonna put a little filter on it.

Lol man I'm gonna post pic when I get home. Zzp said it's for the hose that goes into valve cover. So that means they relocated it from where it is on stock turbo. Cause it is a quick disconnect fitting. So then what's the port on the zfr inducer.

Never mind I looked at the pic on page one , it is for the line that goes to valve cover, or in my case, oil separator. And I'm guessing the other port is speed sensor port

Does the oil feed for new turbo hook up to same place as stock? Saw a different write up that said u take plug out of block under turbo there and plug up stock location. I'm hoping not cause I'm using the port under turbo for oil pressure gauge sender.

Oil feed is on top of the turbo with the stainless flex line. And connects down to the drivers side of the block.

No problem. Print off this how to, it's a very simple install and the OP did this perfect. Only issue you may run into, but I doubt it cuz I think they fixed it, is the exhaust housing clearance. I installed mine last July and had to trim down one of the heat shield tabs on the mani so the turbo sat flush. Other than that, no issues.

I bought a manifold gasket just in case. I'm gonna use my tablet , I have an arm I can attach to pretty much anything , so I'll have it hanging under the car with me with everything I need. Paper will get dirty and wet and is just in the way lol

ah ok, that works as well. but yea, you shouldnt need to take off the mani, i didnt need to. you will see the tab im talking about when you take the heat shield off, you should be good though, havent heard of many people needing to grind it down. but my papers didnt get dirty lol, minus the small corner where i flipped the page. id just be worried about hitting the tablet lol.

Well usually I just look at the next step when I come out for something and remember it. But I don't think I'll have it under the car, it will be on the side of the car where I can see it. I may take a rotary tool to the tab just in case. Better then haveing to take Turbo back off. Should only take a few minutes. No biggy

How did you drill it? I just destroyed my first one. I lightly drilled it and the bit bent it up. I tried to practice on the other side and it was the same result.

Just put a little bit in a bench vice and held the other end with pliers and drilled it. Worked fine for me. Kinda frayed a Lil bit but snipped some off.

in gm online thing from eautorepair its says 16 ft pounds on the page with all the torque specs, and then in the instructions on how to replace turbo it has for dealers it has 26 ft pounds. idk which one is correct. or shall I just go by what I think is good. don't see why it needs to be that tight.

16 sounds about right, i dont think it takes much at all. if you have an adaptor, use a 1/4 ratchet lol. id just be careful with them. better too little than too much, because you can always get back under the car and tighten them back up. go in between though id say.

I have a torque wrench adapter for 1/4 and 1/2 wrenches. Little computer that plugs into ur socket and driver on other end , so no issues there. I'll just throw that on when I take off the bolt from stock turbo, cause it works in reverse as well since it's attached to normal socket, and I'll see how many foot pounds it takes to break it loose , that should give me the info I need

I had 2 and tried this today, tried it just by holding it on wood with hand drill. bent the first one. second one I took a c clamp and lightly clamped it to wood and used drill press. worked perfect. also cut a nice gash in my thumb from doing it with hand drill.
