Treadstpne block off plate

Hey guys, right now I have the Tial BOV installed with factory bpv. I came across a brand new block off plate for a great deal and was wondering if there's a how to on installing it?

Remove old.
Replace new.

Why do you need a "how to"?
And its been out for a while...

I purchased it off someone who didn't have a need for it, I knew they have been out just didn't want to spend the full price.
The reason I posted here was because I couldn't find a thread on it anywhere also,Never installed one before and was looking for info on "How to". Thanks for you info.

IS your car tuned for VTA?

09RallyTC 01-09-2015 10:15 AM

I'm pretty sure it is, when I bought it it had the zzp charge pipes and intercooler with maf relocate. With an aftermarket BOV. It was leaking and I replaced it with the Tial.

Does it spike rich between shifts?
Who tuned it?
Does it have the factory BPV in place still?

you just replace your factory BPV with the Treadstone one. 3 10mm bolts.

Unit is on the turbo itself. its an tan looking thing with a nipple

If the maf is already relocated to the cold side charge pipe, there shouldn't be an issue with simply installing a block off plate when used with a vta bov. Just be sure to get a vacuum source for the bov directly from the manifold and NOT the bpv solenoid (the line originally going to the bpv nipple).

How come?

It doesn't work right.

It flutters really badly. I had to block off my lower CP vacuum port with a screw and then run the BOV straight to the Intake manifold

Yeah, like leemanfor said, it just doesn't work right.

The bpv solenoid is controlled to partially open and close at points in the tune that just doesn't jive with a bov. A bov is designed to work best with a true manifold vacuum source.
