I'm working tomorrow too. Been almost a year since I haven't worked a Saturday, unless it was a long weekend. Which doesn't happen often enough.

Any OT I do, it gets "Banked" so I can take extra days off. Already at 31 hours for the year.

Do you get straight 1:1 extra hours banked? We have a loose version of that at my company and it ranges from 1:2 to 1:10 depending on who your boss is, it's rediculous.

Yep. Straight 1:1. If I work more than 40 hours a week, every minute worked extra is banked. I round to the nearest half-hour.

Isn't that always the case?

EDIT: Well look at that. I just got told I'm working another 5+ hours this weekend. Yay me.

I wish we had a written policy that would outline it exactly how the banked or comp time worked.

I have weekly meetings with the owner of the company so I bring that **** up when I need to. It would be nice to have the extra coin in my pocket, but at the same time I don't necessarily get hit with extra taxes either because it equates to extra vacation days essentially. I have 3 weeks now, but the OT by summer (at this rate) I could have 5 weeks paid off.

I get 1:1 comp time if we have to work on weekends but nothing for weekdays. We get half time for traveling on weekends.

Salary here...I need to work 45 hours to get the straight OT. That means 5 free hours for the company per week.

Mine almost pulled that this year. We shouted it down... literally.

I'd be happy with that as I usually work 50-60 h a week and some projects I end up working up to 84h a week.

Yea every minute of "overtime" I work goes into the company for free. Salary sucks sometimes. But they are pretty flexible where i am at so sometimes i dont quite work those 8 hour days. maybe it works out in the end who knows.

Salary or hourly would be nice... Least I would still make money when no jobs were available. Regardless of what work is available im here between 45 and 60 hours a week.

100% salary enumerated based off commission is BS and should be illegal. Then again, so should "tipped workers base hourly wage".
