Losing an hour of sleep, starting the long stretch of the work week... Yeah, not enthusiastic about today either.

I'm alright with sacrificing an hour of sleep for an extra hour of daylight.

I enjoyed the extra hour of light yesterday but I felt pretty garbage this morning. Gonna take a min to get my internal clock back on track. Made some progress this weekend and trailer is up and going with temp lights. She made her first haul sat taking a sbc 350 from a coworkers house to work. Did pretty good.

That's awesome. I advocate for permanent DST as well.

Looks like it would be hard to get a regular socket on the lugnuts, these must be for security I reckon.

permanent dst is almost as dumb as regular dst. esp if some do it and some don't. just abolish it altogether. the advantage has come and gone. it's archaic.

I bought these: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...444463&jsn=441

Came with a locking nut with the proper socket. They look great (when not covered in road salt).

If people were capable of change, DST wouldn't be required. However, as it is it is easier to implement permanent DST than it is to get people to change their business hours so working folk can have more daylight in their evenings.

There's a little more to it than that. It has to do with the Gregorian calendar setup, versus observational "time recording" between the us and the sun (including our wobble orbit) and the rotation of the Earth - especially when it comes to electronic equipment and GPS. I mean, we still deal with the Leap Second problem but it is getting less and less. Truth be told, we can never deal with exact measurements, only approximations.

Take for example a border of any country. The border itself is approximated because if we sit there and try to measure every detail, the borders would be infinitely long.

Because of these approximations, and the Gregorian calendar (and you are correct, we are stubborn for change) setup, we have these time issues.

Not to change the subject, but wouldn't it be easier if there was Metric Time?

To simplify, I only want whatever system allows me to come to work earlier and to have more daylight hours in the evening to get personal **** done. If we pretend people could actually handle it I would advocate for a single time system with no time-zones.

This goes back to the current accepted time setup, known as the Gregorian calendar. All calendars have been set up to note "major points of seasons" for agriculture, astrological, and religious purposes. Eventually each of these categories were modified, including the additional of sciences that gets morphed into our current setup - which is also over 400 years old.
