Thanks man I'm guessing I would need a tech 2 to make it work huh?

I think there is a goofy procedure you can follow to program it, but a tech 2 makes it easier

Cobalts don't have a secondary procedure for programming the fobs, at least there isn't one published by gm that I know of. On some vehicles there is though, like the silverado/sierra can be done using the dic. So as far as I know yes you have to have a tech 2 but... I have been wrong before.

Snail this is the one I bought https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-ALLin1-...kAAOSwepJXYZr5

there is also these styles I found that I might get in the future to compare.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/I-KEY-STYLE...0AAOSwEaNa6AaD
https://www.ebay.com/itm/R8-STYLE-FL...oAAOSwepJXYZqT
https://www.ebay.com/itm/CHROME-FLIP...cAAOSwaLhZgRPv

I would not recc getting this style although they are significantly cheaper than the other 3, I have seen them first hand and while they work they are HUGE, its a full size fob inside the flip key.

ECaulk and Snail are liars, they are currently in Mountain Daylight Time. I am in Mountain Standard Time always and forever. AZ gives DST the bird.

It's an irrational pet peeve of mine when someone here says "we're in pacific time right now." yeah, it's easier for the other person (although many here think we switch time zones) but technically it's incorrect. MST always and foreverrrrr

That change would bother me, saying your in pacific time. But the D vs S in the abbreviation I overlook as there are only a couple states that don't do day lights savings

it is annoying that every six months someone misses a standing meeting, but usually i make the other person change the time because they're the ones that have DST, not me and outlook agrees with me

I actually like DST better and wish we would stay in DST year round. More daylight in the evenings. I do not like the time changing but DST>regular time. Earlier sunlight doesn't really offer much benefit for me.
