We all eat at the same time here, regardless of when you come in.

Is he going to be there? Or is he one of those I bill you and subcontract everything out but I can't be bothered to show up to the job site types?

This time yes. usually he checks the job once or twice while the crew is working and then again when its finished. We had a similar issue when the tin roof was being done. Contractor submitted the job, company sent out the cheapest crew available and they did **** work on the den. Fired them, got a better crew to redo what had been done and finish the rest.

That business model always has bothered me, if the main contact is on the job site managing operations or at least longer than a 15min check-in twice a day I see no issue subcontracting.

Coverage for what? Were engineering.

You can take lunch whenever you want but most people go around 12 and the lights in the office get shut off.

A question for you folks:

I'm looking for a F23 short throw shifter but TWM has been "out of stock" forever, and nobody likes OTTP. Anybody else that still sells them?

I never liked it either but that's how most construction companies work here. it saves the company more money to have multiple jobs and crews per contractor, having them travel from job to job and inspect maybe once a day, instead of them being on site most of the time. Also gives them a scapegoat when a job isn't done right.

I think you nailed the real reason, then they have a scapegoat. Sad the construction industry is going that way

Just an fyi the f23 stock shifter for the cobalt anyways, has a bend in it that keeps it centered. The TWM shift I had bought when I had my base model didn't have that bend and it made it almost impossible to have drinks in the cup holders

Wouldn't hurt, although it looks like they basically just do Ford now.

Finished the Death Scooter over break, dual motor 1000w 25 mph, 8 mile range now. A couple years ago I just added the second motor and a little bit higher amp controller but it still sucked with lead acid batteries and an on/off razor throttle. I just added a variable throttle, programmable controller, 8S 12 Ah lipos, and after some testing I killed a lithium cell from over discharging (I wasn't that drunk, I promise, and walked home 2 miles) so it now has an actual BMS to protect the cells. With the lipo batteries, it doubled the capacity at 1/3 the weight, EVs are not efficient carrying around literal lead.
