I dropped my transmission and found out the clamping pressure was not uniform for some reason so now I have a worthless $700 clutch/pressure plate assembly that also ruined my Exedy lightweight flywheel with probably less than 300 miles on it. So I have that going for me.

Jd's predicament really sucks. Been there on another car. I'm swapping the trans out these next few days. Wish me luck.

I just laugh at this point. Figure something has to go right eventually. But good luck with your project.

Nothing too special but I'm quite thankful for what I got. Bunch of beef and turkey jerky, a new playstation 1 wallet, some basic tools for around the house that I really needed, decent gift card, and a nice new denim jacket.

I popped off my flywheel and looked at the back side. Yikes...

I'm guessing the heat damage happened one time when I was revving up the engine with the clutch pressed in to see if I had cured the high rpm clutch drag. It's the only time I ever smelled the clutch but with a lightweight flywheel it must heat up pretty fast.

I got home before Christmas so I was able to see family. Also got some tools, a new sound bar, and some misc. items.

It was a white Christmas. Most of the snow melted.

If you're like me you procrastinate because you can pretend everything will work right up until the day it's all put back together where you inevitably discover some stupid problem. If you never finish putting it back together you never have stupid car problems to worry about.
