the B.A.D. is a good idea in theory, but if your ever walking around with the rifle in the woods, it's bound to get caught on **** and is very annoying. I've found that most people that use them never do this though. Some people swear by it, but when I tried it on my AR I hated it.

In theory you can use a .223 in any 5.56, but not 5.56 in a strictly .223 barrel....

Reign speaks the truth. The 5.56 has a faster burning powder so it's a hotter load for extra velocity. It's also harder to find though as most all of it is Mil surplus. The 5.56 chamber is made a bit looser for dependability under dirty conditions as well, so it is not as absolutely accurate as a straight .223 or .223 Wilde chamber could potentially be. It can however handle the higher pressure loads of a 5.56 As was said the ammo availability of the .223 is muchhh greater. I buy and shoot whatever is cheap for plinking, and then buy better stuff online or handload for real accurate stuff.

Do you know the twist rate of the barrel? 1/9 -1/8 or 1/7? I have a 1 in 7 twist Colt Hbar that doesn't like 55 grain bullets ..... it loves 75grain Hornady TAP ammo thou ..... and shoots 62 grain well. My twist rate is stamped in the barrel so take a look and see what yours is .

I would try a bunch of different brands and grains before buying a large quantity of ammo thou.... find out what the gun likes and go from there.

They are pricy, they want $500 for their Yugo SKS. That's a $350 rifle retail normally. They want $800 for an AR like you have in that picture. I can order one online for MUCH less. Doesn't mean I won't buy from them. That store is gun pornography.

yea plus what they have for that price is not the best. this one is custom built with some quality parts.

Just moved here a few months ago. I'll probably go to meets, I really wasn't even aware there was a cobalt group out here. I'm currently drooling over a Sig Sauer 556 they have at BGC, but they want $1,400. I found one online for under a grand. I think that's where my tax refund is going.

I love my arrival blue. I've only seen hand full of them over the years. If I'm lucky I'll see an 05 model like mine once a year. I bought my car in 05 straight off the truck basically without test driving it. It had 7 miles on it.
