Ive heard that sex is good for you/healthy, but ive also heard you only burn 80 calories during sex. I really dont see how thats true. Maybe for a 60 year old with a heart condition, but yeah lol.

You have to drink a lot of water when you take creatine supplements. It is also recommended to cycle it. Keep in mind that creatine is natural in red meat/fish.

Play with your body. eat until you start gaining weight, then keep going until you are where you want to be

p90x isnt really designed for mass gains more so weight loss and endurance training. im not knocking it cause its a really good way to work out but its you will not see big gains by doing that alone.

In case anyone wants to follow a log I'm doing, let me know or I wont waste my time posting it up here. I am taking a cycle of stuff starting this upcoming Sunday (for those that want to know what is it, PM me). The log ill include a list of the food I intake daily as well as weight and weight lifted and what not. This is not a weight loss log but a weight and strength gain log for all those who might want to see a detailed log for 30 days. I'll put before, mid-way, and after pictures up.

Starting stats:

Weight: 170 lbs
Height: 5'10''
Age: 21

Flat Bench Max: 260-270
Incline Bench Press: 205lbs for 6 reps
Squat Max: Have never gone higher than 225 for 8 reps
Deadlift Max: Have never gone higher than 225 for 6 reps
Dumbell Flat Bench Press: 80lb dumbells for 6-8 reps
Dumbell Incline Bench Press: 75lb dumbells for 8 reps
Pullups (unweighted): 15 reps
Dips (unweighted): 30 reps
Barbell Curl: 95lbs for 6 reps
Dumbell Curl: 35lb dumbells for 10 reps/side
Close-Grip Bench Press: 155lbs for 8 reps
Skull Crusher: 70lbs for 10 reps
Military Shoulder Press: 155lbs for 8 reps

That hits the major workouts that most people want to know results for. If no one responds to this then I won't post anything up. So just let me know!

Sidenote: I have a bad left shoulder from a skiing accident. My bench press gains will not be as significant as everyone might think so keep that in mind.

I started working to out (seriously) again for the 1st time in 5 years starting last night. I had been hitting the weight room off and on but not seriously over the years. When I was in the military years ago I use to lift twice a day and considered myself very athletic, I used Amino acids as supplements. I'm now at age 38 I'm athletic for my age, at least I think so compared to the majority of people I know my age. Most people think I'm in my late 20's, I play college intramural sports with the 20ish year olds at the college I attend.

Any how, I decided to try a new avenue instead of weight training and treadmills. I use to be hard core martial arts in my earlier years so I wanted something to keep my interest peaked (martial arts does this for me because you have to think about what you are doing). No offense to weight lifters but it gets boring, monotonous, and is kind of mindless, at least to me it.
So last night I went to a cardio kick boxing class. Now most guys would consider this a womens fitness class (I was the only male in the class last night). But I'm here to tell you I have not had an intense muscle/cardio work out like I did last night since boot camp (most fit I ever have been at any one point in my life). Now your not gonna bulk up taking the class, but you will gain lean muscle mass, lose weight and gain a crap load of endurance. Don't knock it till you try it, I was skeptical at first but I know friends in college (and in there 20's) that could not complete 1 hr of cardio kick boxing class without bowing out. A nice side effect to the class is all the women in the class, young and old have hard/tight bodies, so you do have some rather nice scenery going on.
I figured I will take this class till I get down to my desired weight goal and then review my options from there. Today my body is sore every where, inside/outside, you name it.

Congrats! I've been through the entire P90X program, and lost 20 lbs & 5% body fat after hitting a plateu for over 6 months. I was hovering around 185 & 22% body fat for 6 months, and 90 days after p90X, I was 165 & 16% body fat.

Since then, I did a complete phase 1 again, but have modified the program a bit to only work out 4-5 days a week instead. I'm still going strong though. Diet is the single most important part of the program though. The exercises are 60-90 minutes of a day, diet is 24 hours a day.

Either way, congrats on kicking ass with P90X, and keep it going. I didn't see major weight loss until the end of phase 2. Phase 3 was incredible though. It seemed like my body would just burn anything I put in my body. It was pretty incredible.

I've come all the way down from 285 lbs & close to 40% body fat down to around 185 lbs when I started P90X. I had plateued at 185ish for about 6 months, and couldn't seem to lose any more weight, plus without any knowledge of how to work out, I didn't see any results from weight training, and ended up getting really frustrated. If you know how to work out, and get the results, then more power to you, but that's what p90x basically gave me: structure, and know-how. Here's my progress pictures. They're not the quality of some of those ******* on the infomercial, but I still think I got great results. I'm not trying to promote the program or anything, I just wanted to share how I lost 20 extra lbs when I couldn't lose any more weight, increased my strength in every part of my body, became more flexible and balanced, and went from around 22% body fat down to around 16%.

It's been about 2 months since I finished, and I've managed to keep most of the weight off. I've gained 5 pounds, but have also bulked up a bit too. I still work out 4-5 days a week mixing P90X with some Insanity DVD's to keep my cardio & interval training up. I play basketball too, whenever I can.

If you bulk up for the military, the military will lean you out. IMHO, bulking up for the military is a waste of time.

My goal is 10% body fat, I'm around 18% right now (according to my scale). Diet is the hardest part for me. I know I'm capable of doing a diet plan, I just haven't been doing it lately. I have to want to do it, and just haven't had that willpower lately.

I still bring it in my workouts though. I did Insanity Interval Plyo yesterday, and felt like dying afterwards, but it was a good dying... lol
