Il November Meet
 

alright erik help me out on pickin a place to meet for november, def a restaurant or something so we dont stand outside long in case its cold out.... i just thought id give somebody else a chance to pick since i dont know many good meet spots :cssNET:

How about the Schaumburg Area ? For Restaurants we have so many choices out there. Then we got Game Works etc. we can go to. -Erik- :cssNET:

It doesn't have to be Hooters. The lot in front of Game Works is used by every retail operation in the Streets of Woodfield mall, including the movie theater. One word of caution however, we won't be the only vehicle club there. Its a popular lot for all the local rich kids to roll through in their daddy bought Lexus, and the japanese biker crowd is always there. I don't see either being a problem actually. In fact it should make for a lot of interested parties coming by and looking at our cars.

yea what i meant was someone pick a place other than hooters, cuz i dont know any others around there, but if you guys can think of something great! i was thinking like the 12th or 13th, the weekend of the 18th is bad for me, then i think the next is thanksgiving right?

If anybody is interested we do still have a dyno day scheduled in Joliet on Saturday the 12th. Meet at the parking lot of the Motel 6, just north of the intersection of Larkin and I-80 at 8:30 a.m. We'll grab some breakfast, then hit the dyno at 9:00. So far we've got two IRL's, a 72 MG, some Ford Foci, a Taurus SHO, some kind of midget racer, a Saturn SL1, and an SRT4. I'll even make this offer, the first Cobalt that registers will get their baseline dyno passes for free. Yep. Zero cost instead of the usual $85.00. It's a Dynojet, with the ability to monitor wideband O2 (through a bung welded onto your exhaust) and boost pressure. Please email me directly at billdeebs at aol.com to register. ill be at work, but where exactly is the place you are going to in joliet i live in lockport so im only a few minutes away... i was thinkin about maybe comin up later just to see but who knows

This is a brand new building and street, so it doesn't show up on mapquest. If you are at the intersection of I-80 and Larkin, proceed South to Moen Ave. Turn right (West) and the first building you see on your left past the gas station on the corner is the dyno shop. The street is Hull Street and they are at the South end of the building. During the week would be better for me. Anytime M-F, the 14th through the 18th. If I had to pick a day right now I'd say Wednesday the 16th. Parking lot of Streets of Woodfield, maybe toward the far side of the lot across from the restaurant circle in the middle of the strip.

Yeah, yeah, quit yelling at me. It's easier to when you are there to see it. Streets of woodfield is basically a glorified strip mall. Right in the middle there is a circle driveway the surrounds a kind of food court full of small franchise restaurants like Chipotle and Cold Stone. Its the center of the strip, and the parking lot right along it. I'll try to get a mapquest pic up here for ya.

no of course not, i dont have any good days besides tomorrow at like 5 lol, november is pretty booked up for me, possibly next friday too depending on my work schedule which i will know today

The free slot is still open for the first Cobalt for our dyno day tomorrow..

I still say Wednesday the 16, but I know that it will be dark to meet at like 7pm. Otherwise I say hold onto this spot and simply schedule it for the weekend after Thanksgiving. That way there no rush.

ok here is the official date unless people cant make it, SATURDAY THE 3RD @ 2pm we'll say, now just find a place, maybe somewhere in schaumburg this time, it will probably be cold so preferably a restaurant
