You expected to be able to walk into an engineering department and have them just hand you over the FAQ sheets on your blower?

Oh I guarantee they know everything about it man. I'm an engineer myself (basically, I design everything here) and if somebody ask me a question about it i'm required to act stupid

I design Coal Hauling Shuttle Cars for Phillips Machine Service, not the fanciest, but it's complicated

You can see them here:
Shuttle Car Coal Hauler

That's just one model, we also have one that's run off a turbocharged cummins which is kinda bad ass

I'm actually swampped here, always am, but I generally get on here while stuffs loading and everything.

Solid edge takes a little bit to load a 3D model with over 2000 parts. Even on our super computers. As they call them haha

Weird thing is, Phillips (like TV's, light bulbs, and all that junk) is owned by the same guys, so we get our computers from there, they have some CRAZY computers, but we don't even get the best ****

Im so sick of using CAD...All day long I use it, its so boring to me. I guess if I got to do better things other than HVAC systems and roofing it would be cool...

But Ive been promoted to a Project Manager as of next Monday! So hello a bunch of more bs added to my already full plate lol

You guys ever use STAAD? I have to learn it and teach it to a Structural Analysis course next month...

There are Eaton places everywhere, there's one just a few miles down the road from my house. My next door neighbor works for Eaton.

BTW, according to this no superchargers are made there. http://www.eaton.com/ecm/idcplg?IdcS...ILE&dID=223890

Nice, I use SolidWorks and Autocad 2011 at work, and I used SolidWorks, ProE and AutoCAD in school

All of them are pretty good programs, but I like Solid Works the best.
