Lol that's cool man thanks. Just wanted to see if anyone was paying attention, haha :P

Ion 02-02-2011 01:01 AM

Now to wait 4 months. Haha

06.ss.sedan 02-02-2011 01:28 AM

^^ yeah it's a good ways away still. Never fun during the waiting period.

hunter19707 02-02-2011 01:31 AM

Yeah, especially when the balt sits in the garage till the snow and salt go away!

I don't have that luxury. Mines a dd, haha.

USMCFieldMP 02-02-2011 01:44 AM

Police ever say anything to you?

Nope. Never said anything when I was running a 12" Dump Tube off the Turbo, either. :D

Ion 02-02-2011 02:45 AM

Nice. I want those tires. May have to look into a set of drag radials or DOT autox fronts. Those look perfect on that car.

USMCFieldMP 02-02-2011 02:45 AM

Why would you want JUST front Auto-X/Road Race tires?

Ion 02-02-2011 02:47 AM

Typo. Meant to say drag fronts or autox tires.

I could always just buy tires for the corners. 18s at the opposite ends of the car. Call it the teeter-tater.

Cefaln452 02-02-2011 03:28 AM

ehhh you'll find out soon enough

Sweetsandman 02-06-2011 01:36 PM

I'll be there :)

So, you decided to keep the Balt?

Yeah. For once, I'll make a wise automotive decision. There's no point in getting something new and being in debt for 4-5 years when I can keep my paid off car and make it faster than the car I was going to buy for substantially less money. I was going to get a new Mustang GT...but then I'd be just like everyone else. I can put 3 grand into this thing and make 400+ whp...makes more sense. It's a unique car and a fun crowd :cssNET:

hunter19707 02-06-2011 06:31 PM

:-D Nice, so are you going to go to the dyno meet this spring?

I may go just to get a baseline since I'm back to stock but we'll see how I feel about seeing numbers that low

Ion 02-06-2011 11:28 PM

I prolly won't go to the dyno this time around. If I end up doing the turbo build in the summer, I'll do a fall dyno day. My goal is 300-350whp.

kxrida2000 02-07-2011 02:06 PM

i might be there

You might want to go to get your baseline.;)

We shall see. I'd hope for 200fwhp with the bypass mods and lightweight pulley, but no guarantee. Here is my dream once I can afford to not use it as a DD.

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2425719/2004-mazda-mazda6

His car makes 400 to the ground with twin turbos at low pressure on a stock block at like 5 or 6psi. These cars can handle 14 psi stock on a single turbo but he's afraid the motor its self can't handle that much turbo power without a rebuild, so he recently ordered parts from Roush who made the Noble version that belts out the same power but has been capable of 800bhp. He wrote his own tuning software using a piggyback design and easily has the fastest Mazda out there aside from race cars and motor swaps. He is a football player-turned military guy who is quite good with cars it seems. I want to do this to the 6 when I have a newer DD and can tinker with the motor in the Mazda.
