Track Day at Nelson Ledges

Guys,
I have never done this track day at Nelson Ledges but, my brother in law told me that he is going to go on June 3rd. It seems like a pretty cool deal and you can drive the track from 10 am to 4 pm. This sounds like it would be pretty fun. Has anyone on here done this or does anyone wanna come on June 3rd? For the guys who do not know it is in Ohio. The link below is for the track day information. I believe it costs $130.

Let me know if any of you have done it thanks!:cssNET:

I'd be down. If I can get work off.

I'd love to do a day there, but the few times I've tagged along with friends I haven't felt comfortable taking the Cobalt out on track. Unless they've gone a tiered format with instructors, that would make me feel a little bit better.

I think it would be fun but I agree with it also being intimidating to boot. I heard they have an informational session before and the runs only last 20 to 25 minutes at a time and have restricted passing lanes

Not so much intimidating, it just concerns me for a safety issue to have first-timers with experienced drivers. I've done 10+ track days in the past and they've all been tiered by experience level, drivers in tier 1 are required to have an in-car instructor and tier 2 are required to start the day with an instructor, then if the instructor sees no issues, they dont' have to take one out.

Most people are OK, but even then, there are some people who have no business being out there and without an instructor in the car with them, problems aren't usually caught until a wreck happens. Where I run, if someone is doing something wrong or dangerous, they can usually be pulled off track before an accident happens.
