So i've always heard rumors that if you drop the fact that you're a kettering student to flint cops they let you go, but i never really believed it til last night.

myself and 2 of my buddies were coming home from the walgreens on the corner of ballenger and court st. I pulled out of Wallgreens and was heading down court towards Bradley. I was in a speed demon mood so i got on it and took her to the top of second, blowing through the yellow light, hit third and then shut her down at about 70. The Speed limit on court is 35. Next thing i know i see lights behind me. I knew i was got so i pulled over on bradley. the following conversation proceeded...

Cop - License and registration...
-hand him my NY license and my Reg.
Cop - Where you living?
Me - At Kettering, we're on our way back to study for a phys test tomorrow (complete lie we were on our way back to get drunk)
Cop - You know why i pulled you over?
me - I'm assuming cuz i was going a touch fast down court?
cop - A little fast? i dont know how you drive in NY but we dont drive like that in MI. Are you wanted?
me - no
cop- You have any warrents in NY?
me - no
Cop - I'll be right back

-goes back to his truck for liek 15 min and then comes back-

cop - well we're going to give you a break tonight because you go to kettering, the only good thing in this shithole.
me - {holding back the laughter} thank you very much
cop - Just be more careful
me - yea i dont know what got in to me it was just kind of a spur of the moment thing
cop - Oh i understand, i like to drive fast to, you just can't do it when the cops are around
me - well if i knew you were there i wouldn't have done it

-laughter breaks out from the whole group-

cop - you guys have a good night and stay safe
us - you too thanks.

and we all drive off laughing all the way down bradley.


so...cliff notes - cop pulls me over for 70 in a 35, finds out i go to kettering, lets me go and tells me its cuz i go to kettering.

Never say this to a cop. Most will take it very badly. Glad yours was in a good mood.

 

nah, he knew we were joking around, i would not have said that to any straight edge cop, but ours was pretty cool

 

lol, here you are again roccity. Hope you didn't take too much offense to the other thread, but as a KU grad I can't even tell you how many breaks I got being pulled over on sunset, third, ballenger, beecher, etc
