i would so have this already if it didn't make the highside limiter controlled by this box.

do you make anything that is JUST an rpm control for 1st gear while the clutch is in? no other gear. just... clutch in and in first=3krpms. even it would be on all the time... i REAAAAAAALLy need this for bracket racing

I'm not sure what you are asking. This does not change your rev limiter. It is an RPM control for when the clutch is down...

ah, are you looking for a rev limiter that is engaged while you are in gear with the clutch engaged?

I think he means when he goes to launch the car if you could set it to rev to 3k when you got the clutch pushed in with it in 1st gear? correct me if im wrong, but i think thats what he means

Yeah, that would be the normal launch control... unless he wants to bounce of the rev limiter at 3k while going down the track? I'm confused too...

a "2step" is a device that controls both a low side(launch rpm limiter) and a high side(regular limiter) all in one. which is illegal in A LOT of bracket classes. even if it is still using the stock rpm..

so yeah, what i'm asking is. do you make a single stage limiter so that i when i'm at the tree and staged, i can put the clutch in-be in frist gear-and hold for 1 to 2 seconds at an rpm- let out clutch-continue on to redline on the ecu

?

lot of grey area in that ruling..the way im reading it is you canhave a single stage launch control but you cant use a two step or an antilag as a no lift shift. technically we dont use that for nlts its a single ignition event and untraceable to ears and eyes

Yes, that is exactly how our launch control works. The high side limiter is not enabled by default and actually, is not even possible on your car. We only enable it for the vehicles that are setup differently.

Our launch control only has the low side limit when the clutch is in, so it sounds like it is what you want, no?

alright i'll talk to the tech guys at the track. but, with the simple fact that you call this product a "2step" launch control gives everyone the impression that it will control a high side limiter as well as the launching rpm

and yes, clutch cars can use a single stage limiter on the line to make up for the consistancy issues against a foot brake car

Good point. We shouldn't really call it that. We should just call it launch control. It should be fine, especially since on your car you can't enable the upper rev limiter. That is only available on other cars.

I'm not really sure what the benefit to having a rev limiter is anyway. You already have a rev limiter built into your computer. If you can change it using the WOT Box, how does that help you?

We put it in the WOT box for cars that either don't have a rev limiter, or they have a fuel cut rev limiter and wanted to have an ignition cut rev limiter instead.

In the end, it doesn't do anything different than what the 07+ Cobalts have on their car stock from the factory, so I don't see why it wouldn't be allowed. It is not shifting the car for you, it just lets you shift quicker.

Also, there is no data logging right now, so that feature is not a problem either.
