06 SS/SC trying to rebuild from salvage

Hey everyone clearly I'm new to the forum and new to Cobalts not new to cars in general... I picked up a 06 SS that at some point in its life been smooshed in the front and been rebuilt. (Has a rebuilt title). Who ever did it did the bare minimum and we are talking zip ties and hardware store fasteners. They also used base model cobalt bumper. It runs and it drives and it will pull hard when it wants to. Currently the fans aren't working (didnt notice until now getting warm out) and its throwing codes between too lean or too rich. The map sensor code p1183 and evap leak. The factory heat exchanger is missing it has a s3 exchanger on it but the hoses aren't run right and the filler neck is sideways under the s/c.... being said I'm looking for help sorting this nightmare out any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome! Based on your laundry list, you might want to check out a sub to alldatadiy.com...I've used eautorepair.net but alldata upsets me less. The best is of course factory service manuals but those are pricey to get the whole set.

I've got commercial all data but its very vague on the s/c system.

PM'd is there any place that I can get the odds and ends that I'm missing to correctly put this car back together? Ie filler neck bracket, and a good pic of what the engine bay should look like?

Odds and ends try RockAuto first. If it's not available there you may have to find salvaged parts for certain discontinued components.

Thus far finding parts online and in person are proving difficult. I know that GM has discontinued all of the s/c cooling items with the exception of the "reservior" and here in VA there are no salvage yards that have these cars haha.

I need a bracket lol can't find it used and as normal gm discontinued it as if all the cobalts in the world were just going to disappear. The silly little bracket that holds the supercharger reservoir to the supercharger currently mines trying to mingle with my fans.

Zip ties until you come across one. Too bad ebay hasn't fixed their search alerts. Craigslist recently fixed their search alerts, maybe setup a bunch of cobalt and LSJ related searches. Log into craigslist, then type in search terms, select save near the search box, then in the settings turn on the alerts for it, repeat for other keywords.

Found a bracket so that's ordered, butneed to track down a bumper and factory heat exchanger. Is replacing the fuel pump the only way to fix the engine light for the sending unit?
