New to the cobalt scene

Hows it going guys, so today i just picked up my 2010 Cobalt SS/TC.
Current known mods:
Injen upper charge pipe
Injen CAI

Now the guy i bought it from just buys and sells so he didnt know a whole lot other from what the previous guy told him. He told me when i went to pick it up that it also has the Trifecta tune. searching around on here i heard that stock boost is around 15psi. driving it around thats what its boosting and no more, In competition mode the turbo spools louder and the bpv sounds louder and its boosting 20psi and holds it. Also, when gunning it the airbag light comes on sometimes (goes away when restarting the engine) and at one insistence the CEL came on indicating a misfire. I was in competition mode at the time and didnt seem to have any of that in normal mode even when gunning it. Will a tune have any affect with those lights? Is there some way to check if it really indeed has a tune on it? I dont know alot about these cars because im a mitsu guy and owned a eclipse, but im interested in learning these cars like i did my Mitsubishi.
Here are some pics of it.
Its the g85 and has the CRMT paint job

What mileage is it at? How cold was it when you were doing pulls? Been a lot of talk about misfires when it cold out. Spark plugs could just be old. I would consider getting the car off of trifecta as it usually is tuned lean. If you can find someone with HPTuners to log you that would help you out a lot.

it has 96k and it was little over 40 degrees yesterday. I emailed Tricfecta and they confirmed my car was Trifecta tuned. Last night i did some pulls with the tune on and at high rpm the CEL came on and started flashing at eventually shut itself off. Is this normal with the tune? first time getting the CEL it was multiple misfires. Searching i found something about it causing misfires but that was from the no lift shift and i wasn't no lift shifting.

The cel flashing indicates major misfiring. You may want to investigate farther than you have. You should probably get rid of trifecta and have someone HPTune you. It's hard to tell you what exactly is wrong. Put new OEM plugs, check your coil pack wires and make sure they aren't grounding out from manifold/turbo heat melting the wire casing. That or your map may be bad or dirty. I would get it hooked up to an HPTuner ASAP if I were you.

Okay so by mere coincidence i found and met the original owner of my car. He was able to tell me everything that was done to the car. He only had it tuned to the intake and nothing else. Also i solved my miss fire problem, i pulled the spark plugs and noticed he put in Autolight plugs which i hear doesn't work well with these engines. I upgraded to NGK iridium plugs and it pulled beautifully with the tune activated. However, still getting that pesky airbag light every now and then. im going to try and investigate that one still. For now i ordered a forge bpv and a TurbocXS catless downpipe. Then eventually upgrade the FMIC and the lower charge pipe and retune. Should i really go with a HPtuner and ditch the Trifecta? I appreciate the suggestions and advice.

Yes, ditch the Trifecta tune. Those are generally just canned tunes, and many of them operate under unsafe conditions.

Find someone on here that lives close to you that is a reputable Cobalt tuner. If you ask around on here you are bound to find someone local.
