New guy

Hey just joining up here I have had my 07 cobalt ss for about 7 months I has 69000 miles on it just learning about up grades for it. I love my car don't get me wrong but I am thinking I should have done more research before buying the no lift shift and launch control on the newer cobalts sounds like a great feature. I am still trying to learn how to control the tire fire in 1st gear. I have tried no lift shifting and second gear clutch slips 3rd and 4th are ok no real slippage. Any way looking forward to learning more and sharing with others

You are supercharged so there is not much advantage to no lift shift. Turbo Cobalts have no lift shift which keeps the turbo spooled. You also have potential to ruin your clutch/trans from shock load or blow your valve-train from banging the limiter trying to no lift shift in a supercharged Cobalt.

If you are having trouble spinning the tires in first gear just input less throttle and short shift into second. Don't shift so fast you lug it but there is no advantage to rev out first with wheel-spin. You could also look into some stickier/softer tires though you will sacrifice longevity for grip.
