New guy from Maui

Hello. New guy here, so I thought I would introduce myself. I am a long time Chevy guy who recently moved to Maui, HI. When I got here, I needed a car. Being on an island, its slim pickins. I was lucky enough to find this awesome car in my price range. Back in Pennsylvania (where I moved from) I have a 94 Camaro. It will be shipped over here soon (I hope).

Now on to my new purchase, and the reason I'm here,,,

Its a black '06 Chevy Cobalt LS. It is a 2-door, 5 speed with the 2.2L engine. It's mostly stock except for an aftermarket radio, and some stock style TYC headlamps. Manual Windows and no power locks.

The things ill need help with: Although I've figured out how to get the stock shift knob off, it isn't threaded. I was hoping to put on one of my custom 13 ball shift knobs on it, but not sure how to put it on there.
The front speakers don't work. I don't really want to take the door panels off if I don't have to, but I'm thinking i'll have to swap them out.

Other than that, I'd like to get ideas on stripes as I'd like to put an orange stripe somewhere on it. I've started de-badging it, but the weather looked ominous, so I had to stop.

Pics soon.

Welcome, for the speakers you have to take off the door panel and replace them, worst part is if you have manual locks getting the handle off after that it's easy. As for the custom knob you would need to thread the stock shaft or go aftermarket.

Ive taken my door panel off 1000 times (well 3 times but...) its not hard. Ive looked into replacing my shifter knob because the leather is all peeled off mind and the number plate is missing, in other words, it looks like ass. I gave up a while ago because it was too hard to get the knob off, ill try again next time i get a chance tho.

Unfortunately Hawaii requires front license plates. Not sure how I'm gonna stretch that on the Camaro when it gets here....

When I was there I just zip tied the plate to my front bumper for inspection purposes and than took it right back off and tossed it in the back seat. Never had any trouble with that lol
