Im trying to remove the subframe. I got 3 bolts loose and ready to come off but the rear passenger one holding the control arm is just spinning. Anybody ever deal with this?

its prob seized to the control arm center sleeve. Try some Kroil. then a impact gun.

Will it come out even if the cage nut on top is spinning? The cage broke. Im thinking of using a sawzall later.

I never had the issue with the cage nut but it is VERY common. Someone else can chime in.

I have some good condition cradle bolts if you need them.

I havent checked, but if i cant find them at the dealer il message you about the bolts because i probably will need new ones. Any idea if the cage nut can be bought? I only see part numbers for the bolts.

Powell wrote up a how-to for this. I'll see if i can find it real quick.

I have been taking my time on the ldk swap. I found these cracks on the exhaust mainfold and turbo where they connect. I cleaned it with a dremel to take a better look. Is this something that should be fixed? Theres no cracks on the outside.

Slowbalt2000 06-05-2019 03:17 PM

Cracks are totally normal for the stock turbo/manifold. Every one Ive ever seen from an LNF is like that. There is no issue with using it as it is.

Oh okay nice. Thank you! I was starting to worry.

Snail_SS 06-05-2019 05:32 PM

Yup that's normal. Welcome!
