whatever power level your stock engine can handle-- it can handle on nitrous.
If your head gasket, pistons, rods, rings, etc can handle a 50 hp increase from a built motor, or from boost, it can handle it from nitrous
HOWEVER
you MUST insure that your tune is appropriate to your shot. Generically speaking; small shots are fine with relatively stock tunes. Advanced timing is generally not recommended. Reducing timing 1.5 to 2 degrees per 50hp increase is kind of the rule of thumb
after that, engage ONLY at WOT, and above 2500rpm
lots of safety features out there-- fuel pressure safety switches, nitrous pressure safety switches,

I sprayed my 2.2 eco 04 cavi with a 75 shot for 2 summers with bottles ( about 3-5 a weekend ) through it. Never Once having an issues due to nitrous. I made ssure to have the right rating for fuel (prem) and checked and replaced 1-2 step colder plugs on a regular basis and also depending on the weather and temps. I would never of sprayed more then 75 on a stock short block. The built motor we did for a friend had a 2 stage system with 150 total hp shot till he got a supercharger set up.
It can be done and safely, but it will help to buy the proper upgrades to the system like a window switch, bottle heater to keep temps up and to watch bottle pressure like a hawk.

I've sprayed my 04 Cavi 2.2 with a stock bottom end and trans with a 75. never ran into issues and I was mean to it for the first couple weeks.
Lucky or Pioneer....who knows.
As I always say with anything that increases power, go for it...why not, just dont cry when something breaks. embrace the fact that **** happens and modding becomes a lot less stressful and more fun.

When I had a 2.2 it was on the bottle. Unfortunately, I had issues with it, and went through several intake manifolds. I'm not sure if it was the positioning of the nozzles (they were installed in the intake prior to the throttle body) or what but it kept blowing the manifold. Kind of turned me off to it frankly. I had a bottle heater and always made sure to use it above 3k RPMs too.

Do you mind posting or sending me a list of everything I would need to run a 75-Shot nitrous setup?
