Sprayng the s/c
So, I know once you drop pulley sizes to below like 2.8 ish, you start to rack up some crazy IAT2's and my question is simple, and honestly i don't see why it wouldn't work. Which is why I'm gonna ask here cuz I'm sure someone will know...Would it be feesable or useful in any way to get a NOS kit that is set up to spray the intercooler on a turbo car and just aim it at the s/c to cool it down? Like for track day or what have ya just to cool it all down before you get to the line again. I'm sure there's some valid point I'm missing here, which I'm sure someone will point out to me lol

You want something to spray on the supercharger to cool it for track days?? Or are you talking about a sprayer that some of the turbo cars are using with their intercoolers??
When dropping pulley sizes your best option would be to go dual pass, meth and a bigger heat exchanger. All of those will keep your IAT2's down quite a bit.

Would that really do a whole lot of good tho being that it's only a h/e? I've been hearing that the h/e doesn't work the same way an intercooler does. I mean, if it'll work and drop the IAT2's, i would do that instead. Good call on the hot metal thing, told you i was missing some valid point and couldn't figure it out lol
I was talking about getting an intercooler sprayer and just aiming at the s/c to cool it down after a run or something. A buddy of mine has the intercooler sprayer on his evo and it got me to thinking, which as you can see can be very dangerous haha

Yea, don't do that mostly because of what Reign said. Some people just do the ice bag trick. That's not as drastic of a temperature change as spraying nitrous on the supercharger would be. However, I wonder if a spray would work for the heat exchangers...I don't see why they wouldn't.

I plan on getting meth actually, but if the NOS thing would have worked, i know someone with a bottle i could have gotten for free and the sprayer nozzles. I just can't afford meth atm, workin on it tho. I traded another member on here for their cobra h/e, just haven't gone and picked it up yet. Not that i need it, still being stock. But by april I'll have a 2.6, 60's, and tooned by wickedss2005 so i'll need the meth by then

My thoughts. With both of those combined he'll see a significant change. As long as he's tuned for the meth.
2.6 IMO is too small. I'd say the smallest would be a 2.8...You aren't creating near as much heat and you aren't going to overspin the supercharger. Cobra H/E is nice but I like the OTTPerformance one myself. it's what I have and it looks nothing short of awesome.

I plan on meth, but the original tune isn't gonna be set up for it don't think. I don't think i can save all that money that quick. I might just go the way of the sprayer on the h/e til i can get the meth and just keep a close eye on my IAT2's with an interceptor

The cobra one is free lol, I traded some stuff with another member on here to get it. Thanks to the economy my employer has frozen wages and cut hours significantly, so money is a major issue atm

thanks, but no thanks lol. I'd much rather keep my engine and buy the aftermarket hood with holes already in it. I like custom work and all, but that's a little xtreme for me haha

awww fawk...don't do that. I have a hard enough time tellin the g/f she can't drive my car, and her fav color is pink. I'd have to litterally got a shock collar for her lol And i wouldn't care if you painted my car pink. How stupid would you feel to lose a race to a guy driving a pink cobalt?
