I have a co-worker from southern Ontario (that's in Canada for you Califiornian's ) and he too has never heard of an earthquake in Ontario (or Quebec)...
What most people don't know is there is a geological fault line that runs through a valley North of Ottawa. It's just not as active as where the continental plates meet but it does have the ability to generate EQs here and there (with the last being 1998 I think). They're usually around 5.0 -> 5.5 but this is the first I felt being this far SW .

Im working at JP Morgan in Stanton, De for the time being. A few people said they felt the rumble but I didnt feel anything.
