"Todd" said they got the injectors in this morning so they shipped my order minus the scan gauge, but I haven't got an email yet with tracking numbers. I am hoping I do get that email soon. So this weekend is looking good for giving my car the steroids.

Mike.... When all else fails... fall back on the basics... Be honest... say "HI, I'm Mike, and I saw you over here and had to at least say hello." Then, if they say hi back.... start small with something about what they're wearing, or what theiy'er drinking... even if you KNOW what they're drinking, ask about it. PLay dumb.

Then just roll with it. If she appears to be trying to shoo you off, take the hint and move on. If she says, "sorry I'm waiting for my BF, or something along those lines," you have to just say "well, I took a shot" or " can't blame a guy for trying" something like that. That way they know ( or at least think ) it's not bothering you. THAT shows confidence.

The Filly is the best place to go here in Pittsburgh for some stripper action. Highway Playground = nasty.

As for talkin to the ladies... that's where the confidence comes in. Casual, natural conversation just flows when you're confident. When that happens, you're in like flint. Most of the time... bolder is better. So just going up to a girl and asking her to let you buy her a drink, or even better, to dance (if you're at a club)... that usually gets you in good. From there you can start a good conversation (smiles and laughs are key) that hopefully ends in a phone number. Haha... or if you're really good the night doesn't end there.

Edit: As far as topic of conversation goes... Brian nailed it: just roll with it. It can't be planned. Rehearsed or planned conversations bomb 99% of the time. It's gotta just flow. That's why I said... natural conversation. When you're confident and relaxed it's easy.

 

That's good advice Dan, but it just doesn't work for me... I'm about as smooth as a gravel road, and honestly I have nothing to say to them. I have no good stories to tell, no car worth talking about, etc...

As far as the other modes of dating... it's the same thing. How you talk and carry yourself directly relates tot your typing as well. I've gone the traditional routes, I've tried a dating service ( long time ago ) and I've done the internet dating thing. It's all about selling yourself as the right guy.

As far as you don't have anything to talk to them about???????? If you can't think of anything... ask them about THEM. All women want to know they are interesting to a guy, and will talk about themselves if given the chance.

There's the problem right there. Do what Brian suggested... create a bad-ass alter-ego for the ladies. Like Tyler Durden.... except we'll call him Mike Durden. Also... he won't fight, make soap, or blow up half the world. But he'll be just as cool.

Seriously though... it's cheesy, but all that "you'll never be confident if you talk like that" kind of talk is true. You really have to tell yourself that you're confident.

Really it's not that hard... it's almost a lack of care. I mean, what do you care if this total stranger isn't interested in you after you talk to her? Did you lose anything out of that? You can't embarrass yourself... if she shoots you down she'll have forgotten about it by the time she leaves the club/bar that night. If they turn you down, no biggie. You just move on to the next girl. You just go for it and if it doesn't work, oh well.

It's easier once you just go out and do it once. After that you say, "hey, that wasn't bad at all!" Believe me, I was shy in high school. College changed that.
