Saw on Facebook and the car is so familiar, I just cannot place it. Has cobaltSS.net stickers on the windows. Built ZZP girlded block was in it.

The head was taken off of the block by someone at the JY the car is sitting in. Turbo, IM, and EM were too.

I just can't place it. It was a bigger build too. Closed deck block, big turbo. |

I'm thinking whoever was driving that car didn't survive
|
If you look on SunburstSS' page it says Last Activity: 01-19-2016 09:48 AM . He gave me his phone number in my build thread but I've never texted or called him.

I've seen similar damage to cobalts, and the driver has survived. Not saying that is the case here, but you never know. |
Well I hope they did survive that crash
|
Cobalts have been known to be pretty safe in a frontal collision
|
|
Damn that thread it's cool but sucks lol

It bends in and up. Basically, they work to design the parts to collapse in a way that the most space is left in the passenger compartment. Pillars crush in and up instead of straight into the cabin. |

Cars today are built to be disposable. The cheapest, thinest, and lightest way to do something is what is used to cut costs and make the most money.

And that's why even a simple rear end might only appear to be a bumper but then you see a buckled fender and rip the car its totalled. The project i bought had an estimate of $4500 in work...

A-pillars aren't supposed to kink. Bend and absorb impact but not a kink.
The only place "kinks" should happen are in the frame rails where they have spots meant to fail. |
