Anyone have a KY stage 3 on a TC?

I absolutely hate driving the car since I had mine installed and would like to compare mine to someone else's, to see if there are more unresolved issues, or if this is just the way the clutch is. I've been driving the car for about the last week straight, and I think tomorrow I'm going back to driving my truck. This clutch has sucked all the fun out of driving the car.

Should've gone with a gmpp

Idk why people by the ky clutch...... Oh wait it's cheap that's why. I've taken about 4 of them out of cars because of driveability

Revolution has one loves it maybe he has the driver mod. I'm with Omiotec. All these aftermarket clutches are bastardized Sachs or LUK pressure plates and DIY discs. Ugh GMPP and driver mod for me (Sachs)

My issue is that it doesn't like to shift at low speeds and gets stuck in gear. At the time I bought the clutch (maybe 3-4 years ago) Everyone was happy with KY. I installed it last year and have a hair over 2k miles on it.

It' has nothing to do with grabbing, that's fine........ once it's in gear.

The old clutch had 38k miles and was just starting to slip when power was applied at 3500-4000 rpm. Side note, the car has been tuned for 37k miles

I haven't experienced anything like what you're describing. I had my clutch replaced after it was tuned and started slipping like yours did. I didn't have any issues with the clutch and I have about 8-9K miles on it now

Did you swap to the zzp clutch rod, or still using the stock one?

Dutchman 08-06-2014 07:23 PM

I'm still on the stocker

Omiotek 08-06-2014 08:44 PM

you should need an adjustable clutch rod.
