I finally got orders out of california and Ill be going washington state. Im pretty excited, I been cali living in the desert for almost 5 years, its been fun but its time to move on.

So with that said I am really curious what the car and definitely cobalt scene is like up there, I also want to continue to road race my car so any local info is appreciated. Of course im going to google as well.

 

Which branch of the service are you in? Are you going to end up at the Joint base or up in Everett?

There is road racing at Pacific Raceway in Kent. Drag racing there too.

Nice!! Thx...I am in the air force, but Im going to be working out of Boeing field....might stay in everett...I want to go where the rent is not expensive as seattle and the drive is not to long.

 

Most of the guys are south, I believe. All out of JBLM or near there. Kent is down that way too. It's not a terribly long ride. I made the trip from my place in Sammamish to Joe Warner's up on Everett then down to Alex's down by the Joint Base then home on a bunch of weekends.

Rent isn't cheap in Everett either, but you don't have to go too far to find it more reasonable.

 

Living here in the valley, I would drive almost 2 and half hours to some of the car meets, so I am use to driving. I got an 09 with 97k lol. Thats good. I checked the BAH rates for everett and seattle and seattle have the highest..so If I live anywhere other than seattle I would be saving money. I am not gonna cheap it out too much tho...cause i am not trying to live in the slums or a ghetto.

 

Everett is no where like a ghetto or a slum. It's a suburb with a Navy Base, and more importantly, Boeing, and other businesses that feeds parts to Boeing. That's a lot of people that want to live near work, most of whom make a lot of money. If you go 15 minutes north or east you can save a LOT of money every month, and still not be anywhere within many miles of a slum or a ghetto.

my uncle works for boeing up in evverett. he is a machanic. I go there every once an a while . might see my balt up there lol
